Primanti Bros.

Munch on Pittsburgh’s most famous sandwich, at the one and only Primanti Brothers. This chain of restaurant opened in 1933 originally as a sandwich cart in the Strip District. Primanti’s served the late-night and early-morning merchant workers as they unloaded their cargo on the docks day and night. The signature sandwich is served on two thick slices of Italian bread with grilled meat, coleslaw, and french fries in between. Come hungry, leftovers can get very soggy!
