New G1 Processor Added

The GoPro HERO6 relies on the same sleek, yet durable design of the previous Hero models. The camera features two screens, a monochromatic screen on the front and a color touchscreen on the back. The color touch screen can be used as a viewfinder or to easily access the touch-based user interface and the camera’s various settings. An advantage of the HERO6 keeping the same design is the camera is compatible with all previous HERO series accessories, like the versatile 3-Way Mount. The main difference in the camera is on the inside, with the addition of the G1 Processor. This adds a new stabilization algorithm, the ability to capture HEVC codec video and the ability to record at 4k at 60 frames-per-second, and 1080p at 240 frames-per-second.

Sharing Your Videos Made Easier

GoPro released the Quik Stories feature earlier this year as a way to transfer your videos to your mobile phone and even have them edited for you. The addition of the G1 Processor has made this feature even easier to use and your videos even better. The Processor now uses more advanced facial recognition and audio and telemetry cues to choose what footage it uses. Your footage will also load to your phone up to three times faster than with previous models.
