So how do these audio sunglasses work exactly? We’re glad you asked. 

Miniaturized Bose speakers are placed on the interior of the glasses next to the lenses. While they do not physically connect to your ear, they are positioned to point directly toward your ears and filter in music that only you can hear. You can stay connected to the world around you while discretely listening to music with a revolutionary open-ear audio design. Underneath the side of your glasses are buttons that allow you to power your glasses on, play music, answer calls, and make and take clear phone calls and access Siri or your Google Assistant with the seamlessly integrated microphone.  

Protect Your Eyes in Style

The Bose Frames block up to 99% of UVA/UVB rays with uniformly tinted lenses. Ultraviolet (UV) rays that are emitted from the sun can be extremely damaging to your eyes. Even on overcast days, you are at risk of getting sun damage. There are two types of UV rays that reach the Earth, the third, UVC rays, are blocked by the earth’s atmosphere. Navigational apps, such as Naviguide AR by Navisens and Walc, provide helpful directional cues via the Bose AR function. 

Enhanced gaming apps, such as Komrad AR and Head Games by Earplay are also available, thanks to the built-in motion sensors that pick up on your head orientation and body movement. In Komrad AR, you are tasked with taking down an evil computer hell-bent on taking over the world.
