Experience Lolla, the Hottest Festival of the Year

Created in 1991 by Jane’s Addiction, Lollapalooza began as a farewell tour until dying down for a short period of time because as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end, right? Not. Lolla revived and now tours annually, featuring alternative rock, punk rock, heavy metal, hip hop, and electronic bands and artists. Basically the hottest music you could ask for. Passes to this three-day $22 million party sold-out in just one hour back in March and one-day passes sold out in two. Thousands of people come from all over the country to this mega-fest. You guys, Lolla is the midwest’s Coachella... except hotter!

This year’s Lollapalooza runs for four days beginning Thursday, August 3rd and wrapping up Sunday, August 6th. The festival will be taking over the heart of downtown in Chicago’s version of Central Park, the gorgeous Grand Park. The Killers, Muse, and Arcade Fire are headlining the festival along with Chicago’s own Chance the Rapper, who has suddenly labeled himself one of the biggest musical artists in the business. Growing up in the West Chatham neighborhood of Chicago, Chance the Rapper has returned to put on the show of a lifetime. You can’t miss him! Other killer artists who will be performing include Lorde, Mac DeMarco, Big Sean, the xx, Wiz Khalifa, and the list goes on!

If you’re going to Lolla, one thing’s for sure - you can’t miss Chow Town. The Windy City’s own celebrity chef, Graham Elliot curated the most delicious festival food from Chicago’s best restaurants. Some of the food, drink and sweet vendors that will be there include BJ’S Market and Bakery, Bella Bacinos, Chubby Weiners, and of course Harold’s Chicken. Aftershows & After Parties

Not ready for the party to end? Keep the party going at one of the Official 2017 Lollapalooza After Shows and After Parties in legendary rooms such as House of Blues and Metro. More than 55 performances featuring over 110 artists will be there so you can see even more of your favorite artists from the fest.
